The curtain has 4 different types of closing triggered by an alarm that is connected to a fire control panel. Closures work as follows:
- Automatic closing, partially descending to block only smoke and gases, leaving space for people to exit and, at the end of the time set on the timer, it closes completely for total blocking;
- After the alarm is triggered, it only closes after a pre-set time on the timer, giving people time to leave the place;
- Total and immediate blocking of the passageway;
- Through manual opening/closing.

Rigorously tested, the FLAMA fire curtain has passed the following CE tests with distinction:
E – Prevents the passage of flames and hot gases without water
EW – Prevents the passage of flames, hot gases and transmission of thermal radiation without water
EI – Prevents the passage of flames, hot gases and temperature transmission with water
Recognized through the General Registry of the Technical Building Code, with the approval of the Dirección General de Agenda Urbana y Arquitectura of Spain, in its suitability for fire protection.
It should also be noted that it has emergency batteries so that, in the event of a power failure, the normal operation of the curtain is guaranteed.
