How to install a smart switch?

Would you like to control the lighting of spaces? Discover the DUAL SWITCH device from the MCONNECT range, designed to be easily installed behind the wall switch, without overriding the normal control of the lights.

In this article we explain how you can install a smart switch. Watch the video we share below and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Warning: Make sure the power circuit breaker on the electrical board is turned off before starting installation. If you encounter any difficulties, please read the installation manual carefully.

Step 1 – Disassemble the switch

Disassemble the switch by disengaging the mirror and loosening the screws.

Step 2 – Disconnect wires from the switch

Disconnect all wires from the switch.

Step 3 – Create a SHUNT and turn on Phase

Create a SHUNT by connecting a wire to the module’s COM and F terminals. Connect the Phase (brown wire) of the electrical installation to the F terminal of the module.

Step 4 – Connect neutral wire

Install connector (if there isn’t one) to the neutral (blue wire) of the electrical installation and connect a wire to the connector.

Step 5 – Connect the light wires to the module

Connect the wires from the existing light points to the terminals L1 and L2 of the module.

Step 6 – Connect switch to module

Connect the switch outputs to the module like this:

→ COM output connects to PULL ↓
→ Output 1 connects to SW1
→ Output 2 connects to SW2

Turn on the circuit breaker.

Step 7 – Connect with the application

Before starting to connect the module with the application, make sure you have created your account and are logged in.

With the LED flashing purple, press the “Add MCONNECT” button in the application.

Select the MCONNECT DUAL SWITCH module from the devices shown.
